Dr. Emily Trexler

PT, DPT

About

Dr. Emily is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in pelvic health and pregnancy/postpartum. She is a Virginia native that traded the mountains for the beach after earning her B.S. in Sports Medicine from Radford University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. Her passion for pelvic health was sparked during PT school after witnessing just how underserved her friends and family were during their pregnancy and postpartum journeys.

Dr. Emily is a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist for pregnant and postpartum women and holds advanced training certifications through the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health. She is also certified in dry needling and brings a holistic approach to her care. Dr. Emily has additional experience working in orthopedics as well as with individuals living with progressive neurological conditions.

Passionate about bridging the gap between pelvic health, wellness and athletic performance to redefine the model of women’s healthcare, Dr. Emily’s goal is to elevate both health and confidence in her patients, whether she is working with athletes or women who simply want to move without limitations.

When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find Emily enjoying live music, taking a cycling class at Recess, or spending time with her friends and family (including her goldendoodle, Sunny)!
