Dr. Kristen has been incredibly helpful in regaining my confidence in my postpartum recovery. After having an incredibly long labor I was eager to seek out help. Months after my OB cleared me to resume ALL the things I did before my baby was born, everything was not back to normal. Now things are actually feeling normal again! The nature of pelvic floor health can feel awkward but everyone at the office is easy going and that has made it so much easier to get the help I've needed.

I cannot recommend Emily enough! I came to her postpartum with concerns after getting back into weightlifting, feeling nervous and unsure of where to start. From the very first appointment, she made me feel completely at ease — she is the most encouraging, compassionate person on my care team. Thanks to her guidance and expertise, I'm not only back to lifting but I've started running again without any difficulty. I feel stronger now than I did before pregnancy, which honestly feels like a miracle. If you're postpartum and on the fence about pelvic PT, do yourself a favor and book with Emily. She is absolutely worth it!

I can’t say enough great things about my physical therapist, Emily. From the very first session, I felt truly heard, supported, and cared for. She took the time to thoroughly understand my concerns, explain everything in a way that made sense, and create a personalized plan that actually worked for my lifestyle. What really stands out is their level of knowledge and attention to detail. Every exercise and recommendation had a clear purpose, and they consistently adjusted my program based on my progress. I never felt like “just another patient”—they genuinely invested in my recovery and long-term health. Not only did they help me get out of pain and address my postpartum concerns, but they also gave me the tools and confidence to stay strong and prevent future issues. Their encouragement and positivity made a huge difference, especially on the tougher days. As a new mom this is so meaningful. If you’re looking for someone who is skilled, compassionate, and truly dedicated to helping you feel your best, I highly recommend them. Especially Dr. Emily! This has been one of the best healthcare experiences I’ve ever had.

DR. EMILY IS THE GREATEST!!!!!! I seriously wish I would have found her sooner. During and after pregnancy I was in EXTREME pain and could barely walk, bend down, or workout. I felt so defeated. Dr. Emily completely changed my life. She customized a plan specifically for me and I went from struggling to move to doing kickboxing and weight training classes EVERY single day again!!! As women, we really do not get enough information about our pelvic floor and I honestly wish I would have gone to her while I was pregnant. She saved my life!!!!!! Not only is she incredible at what she does, she is also one of the kindest humans I have ever met. My husband and I had no family or childcare in Wilmington and really wanted to attend an amazing Valentine’s workshop for couples that Dr. Amy was hosting. Dr. Emily literally came in on her DAY OFF just to watch our baby at the facility so we could attend. Who does that?! That level of care and kindness is so rare. Everyone at Pelvic Floor Therapy is AMAZING. They truly hire the best people. Jessica is the absolute sweetest, Lindsey is so kind, and Dr. Amy is wonderful too. I cannot recommend them enough!!!

Dr. Nicole did so much to help me throughout our journey together over the past few months. During our first appointment, we sat down and created goals together, and she tailored each appointment specifically to my needs so I could work toward reaching them. From the moment you walk in, the entire staff is incredibly kind, supportive, and welcoming. Everyone feels like your personal cheerleader, encouraging you every step of the way. After everything we’ve been through together, Dr. Nicole truly feels like a friend. She made every appointment comfortable by thoroughly explaining what she was doing and always making sure whatever was going on with my body that day was personally addressed. I definitely plan to come back for “tune-ups” here and there in the future. I also can’t say enough about dry needling — it truly helped with my pain. I went from not being able to sit in a flat chair comfortably to being able to get through an entire movie without constantly getting up to use the bathroom. I also learned how to properly train my bladder so I no longer feel the need to rush to the bathroom every time I’m out in public. It’s amazing how often women’s bodies and these issues are overlooked. I highly recommend any woman visit this practice. Women should not have to live with leaking or discomfort. Pregnant and postpartum women especially could benefit so much from the care and support offered here. Thank you, Dr. Nicole and team. You all are truly amazing!
