Dr. Amy Newberry

PT, DPT

About

Dr. Amy is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in pelvic health and pregnancy/postpartum with several years of experience in treating women and men struggling with pelvic conditions in Georgia and North Carolina.

Dr. Amy was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She has a Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Georgia and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Augusta University. She enjoys CrossFit, paddleboarding, trying hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and spending time with her husband and fur babies!

She is passionate about helping moms get back to their normal workouts under the barbell and helping women and men trust and feel confident in their bodies again– one of the many reasons she founded Pelvic Prescription PT! She wishes education surrounding pelvic health was more widespread to help women and men. While Dr. Amy understands how isolating and frustrating pelvic conditions are, she values breaking down the taboos around pelvic health and talking about it! She spends a majority of her time in the community raising awareness for pelvic conditions and pelvic floor therapy– often in her vulva costume!
