If I have a scheduled c-section, so I don’t need to go to pelvic PT prenatal… right?

Actually, prenatal pelvic floor PT can be just as valuable when you’re planning a C-section!

Even if your baby won’t be delivered vaginally, your body has still spent nine months adapting to pregnancy. Your growing baby places increased demand on your core, pelvic floor, hips, back, and abdominal muscles — and those areas all play an important role in how you feel during pregnancy and how you recover after delivery.

Prenatal PT can help you stay comfortable and active throughout pregnancy while also preparing your core, pelvic floor, and body for the demands of C-section recovery. We can also teach you strategies ahead of time for getting in and out of bed, managing early postpartum movement, reconnecting with your core, and returning to activity safely.

We consistently find that clients who work with us during pregnancy, regardless of c-section vs. vaginal delivery, feel much more prepared for postpartum than those who wait until after baby arrives to start addressing these areas.
